Sharpening the expectations of your photographer.
Photography can be both an art and a service, meaning there isn't always a "right" way to take a picture. When it comes to event photography, we believe there are expectations that should always be met -- and we realized that it is hard to find or know what to ask.
We celebrate community over competition, meaning, each of our photographers are pumped at the announcement of every new photographer. At the same time,
We value clients who seek experienced professionals with modern equipment to make the most of often dark or unusual lighting environments.
We value extreme transparency in our skills, people and processes to ensure you know EXACTLY what you are getting.
Sharpening
Proven Experience
Lead event photographers must have at minimum 30 events under their belt, be interviewed by our team, submit examples of work, and have client references. Additionally, they must show examples of having planned or professionally spoken at events. Our team is not only skilled in our craft, but skilled enough in yours to make the right assumptions about what you want captured.
Personality that Amplifies
Here is where we REALLY differ. When choosing a photographer, personality is often forgotten, but this can have a huge impact on your guest experience. There is a strong chance they will interact with the photographer more than you! Our photographers are approachable, make people feel comfortable, and specifically have the following traits:
We are "Go-Getters".We go get the shot, even if it means running, but we also can go get you coffee, go get your script, all with a smile.
We are Adaptable. Event schedules and lighting change all the time. Our team will accept these changes positively and adjust as best as possible.
We are Friendly.“The person with the camera” is a recognizable event “character” and the right ones will serve as a strong entertainment piece and familiar face. If you are looking for a photographer that will hide in a corner, never to interact with guests, we probably aren't your people.
Professional Equipment
Our photographers must meet specific qualifications for equipment to handle to the lighting environments in hotels and conference halls. We are more than happy to share specifics with anyone who asks. Our equipment can handle low-light environments with industry leading cameras and computers that can support software that can fully utilizes the newest editing software updates.

Why We
Our Story
Amped is known internally as Abby Miller Photo - Event Documentation.
After a particular year of heavy event photography, I (Abby) realized that clients hadn't been receiving proper service before, and probably had no clue what they were missing out on. Additionally, as a speaker, I was disappointed with images that didn't capture me at me best (closed eyes and awkward facial expressions). As an event professional, I also knew how important it was to have beautiful pictures that captured guests having a great time, compositions that highlighted the right things (and more importantly hid the right things like empty chairs in a session or an unfortunate yawn during a workshop).
After talking with fellow experienced photographers who agreed, it was time to put us all in one place to provide clients with the 3 most important skills we felt was needed in an event photographer:
Exist.
Modern equipment
Experiences that make it possible to relate to clients
Energized personalities
